Getting to Sheki

Sheki is around 300 km north-west of Baku — four to five hours by road through the Caucasus foothills. There is no airport, so a guided tour that handles the driving (and, on the 2-day trip, the hotel) is the easiest way to visit.

Day trip or two days?

The day trip sees everything in one go, but it is a long day on the road. The 2-day tour puts a night in Sheki between Gabala and the palace, so the morning at the Khan's Palace is quiet and unhurried. Both finish with piti in Kish.
