Who this is for
Guides, drivers, cooks, park rangers, people who grew up in a village most visitors drive past. If you know somewhere in Azerbaijan the way you can only know it by being there, we would like to publish you.
This is not for content agencies, and it is not a link-building opportunity. Read the next section before writing to us.
The terms, stated plainly
- It is unpaid. This is voluntary. We are not going to pretend otherwise.
- You may not link to your own site or business. Not in the article, not in the bio. If a link is why you are writing, this is not for you.
- First-hand only. Something you have seen, walked, cooked or driven. Not a summary of what is already online.
- We edit, and we check. Prices, opening times, distances and directions get verified. If we cannot verify a claim, it does not go in.
- You keep the credit. The article is published under your name, with your photo and a short bio, on your own author page.
What makes a piece we would publish
The test is simple: does it contain something a person who has not been there could not have written? A road that is worse than the map suggests. The hour when the light is right. Which of the two entrances the bus actually stops at. What the dish is called by the people who make it.
Length is not important. Eight hundred honest words about one place beat three thousand assembled from other articles.
How to propose one
Write to us with three things: the place you want to cover, your connection to it, and one specific detail about it that is not in the guidebooks. That last one tells us more than a CV does.
