A private transfer south-west from Baku to Gobustan — about 65 km, an hour on the motorway along the Caspian. The UNESCO-listed rock art reserve and its museum sit above the plain, with the mud volcano field further out.

There is no useful public transport to the reserve and nothing waiting to bring you back, so a car with waiting time is the practical way to do it. Add the hours you want on the booking form and the driver stays with you for the whole visit.

Choose your vehicle

Prices are per vehicle for the whole journey, not per passenger. A round trip and driver waiting time can be added on the booking form.

Frequently asked questions

How many hours should the driver wait?
Three hours covers the museum and the petroglyph trails at an unhurried pace. Allow four if you also want the mud volcanoes, which are a separate drive beyond the reserve.
Can we reach the mud volcanoes in a normal car?
The reserve itself is on asphalt, but the last stretch to the mud volcano field is a rough unpaved track. Tell us when you book if you want to include it, so we send a vehicle suited to that section rather than turning back at the gate.
Is a transfer cheaper than your Gobustan tour?
Sometimes, and sometimes not — it depends on group size. A transfer gives you the car only; our Gobustan tour includes a guide who can actually read the petroglyphs for you. Compare both before deciding.
Can we continue to Shirvan National Park the same day?
Yes, that pairing works well — Shirvan is further along the same road south. It is a longer day, so tell us both destinations when you book and we will price the full journey rather than two separate legs.
Are entrance tickets included?
No. A transfer covers the vehicle and driver only. Entrance to the reserve and the museum is paid on arrival.
