Tired of standard routes and restaurant food? Trade the tourist trail for a warm welcome at a private seaside dacha — a family country house on the shore of the Caspian, just outside Baku. This is slow, soulful, farm-to-table travel, and our proudest promise is simple: everything you taste here is grown the natural way. No chemicals, no artificial fertilisers — only sun, soil and sea air.

What Your Day at the Dacha Looks Like

  • A walk through the living eco-garden. Wander a blossoming courtyard where mulberry, pomegranate, blackcurrant and strawberry ripen in the sun. You'll see the kitchen beds of potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers and fresh herbs, and meet the hens and roosters that keep the family in farm-fresh eggs.
  • A hands-on kutab master-class. Pick herbs straight from the garden, gather around the family hearth, and learn to roll and griddle kutab — Azerbaijan's beloved thin stuffed flatbread — over a live fire, exactly the way it has been made here for generations.
  • A feast by the Caspian. Sit down to everything you've helped create: smoky meats and vegetables grilled over coals, crisp garden salads, warm home bread, and a proper Azerbaijani chay (tea) served with homemade jams and sweets.

Why This Tour Is Different

Most food tours move you between restaurants. This one welcomes you into a real home. You cook with the family, eat what the garden gives, and slow right down by the sea — a genuine taste of Azerbaijani hospitality you simply can't get from a menu. It's the perfect counterpoint to a day of city sightseeing on our Baku city tour or a stroll through the historic lanes on the Old City walking tour, where you can keep tasting your way through the capital's tea houses and bakeries.
