A private car south from Baku to Shirvan National Park — about 90 km, roughly an hour and twenty minutes past Gobustan and the salt flats.

Shirvan is where Azerbaijan protects its goitered gazelle herds, with flamingos on the lagoons in the colder months. The safari inside the park runs on the park's own 4x4 vehicles, so this transfer takes you to the gate and back rather than into the reserve itself.

Frequently asked questions

Does the transfer include the safari inside the park?
No. Entry and the in-park 4x4 safari are arranged and paid at the reserve. This transfer covers the drive from Baku to the gate and back, plus waiting while you are inside.
How long should I allow at the park?
Three to four hours is typical for the drive-in safari and the lakeside. Add that as waiting time so the same driver takes you back to Baku.
When are the flamingos there?
Flamingos use the lagoons mainly in the cooler months and numbers vary year to year, so nobody can promise them on a given day. Gazelles are resident and far more reliably seen.
Can we combine Gobustan and Shirvan?
Yes — they sit on the same road south and pair naturally into one long day. Tell us both when you book so we quote the whole journey and the waiting sensibly.
